Try with all your efforts

Nowadays, the recruitment tendency of employers is based on not only applicants’ academic results but also their experience as well as their dynamic personality. Besides, everything is more and more expensive, which affects much everybody’s life and activities, especially the students’ including overseas students’ in the developed countries. Therefore, when being students, a lot of them take the initiative in finding part-time jobs with thousands of different reasons such as: for knowing, for experience, for money, for easing the cost burden of their family, or for the simple reason that their friends can do that why they cannot?

And one of the countries which is easy for overseas students to find part-time jobs is Australia. Usually, they can work for a maximum of 20 hours in a week. They can be probationers in companies, or work in their university precincts, in eateries, or in bookshops, in offices of their universities, or in farms, etc. With the money from part-time jobs, they can cover a part of their living expenses.

You may be surprised that overseas students are cherished children who were born in wealthy families, so there is no need for them to do part-time jobs. But the fact is that nowadays overseas students are not just children of wealthy families. For many Vietnamese overseas students, doing part-time jobs is not only to earn money and ease the cost burden of family but also to put themselves in tune with their community, to have experience and express themselves.

In that strange environment, they try their best to study and work with their hope that they can help their family later. And many of them consider that as their experience and are trying to do that with all their enthusiasm and efforts. Vu Anh Tuyet, an overseas student in New South Wales, says that “Australia has a system of useful voluntary work, which helps international students approach Australian culture more easily, improve their English skills and develop community relationships through helping unlucky people”

It is admitted that doing part-time jobs not only helps overseas students cover a part of their family’s cost burden, but also equips them precious knowledge and experience in reality. But besides, there is a fact that not all the students can study well, take part in activities and do part-time jobs well at the same time. It is important for them to arrange their study and work to get a good academic result because for overseas students, getting new knowledge and studying well is more important than earning money well. Achieving a good academic result and accumulating much experience depend on your ability to arrange time for studying and doing part-time jobs.

You have chosen overseas study to prepare for your future. To make your choice right, you should try your best to study well. And you should arrange your study and part-time jobs to make the latter useful for your study.
